Kaiser Permanente is now accepting applications from low-income youth who are interested in a future career in health care and working at Kaiser for 8 weeks over the Summer in a paid internship. The deadline to apply is Monday, February 22. If interested, please see Mrs. Green in the Career Center.


The iCLEM program offers a paid summer research internship opportunity at the Joint BioEnergy Institute to current sophomores and juniors at Contra Costa County schools. The 8 selected students will work in a state-of-the-art research lab, gain college knowledge, participate in professional development, be exposed to many STEM careers, amongst other opportunities. If you know a student that is passionate about science and discovering the true nature of research, please have them apply to the iCLEM program. Eligibility requirements are below.


 To qualify for iCLEM, students must have a deep interest in science, technology, engineering or math, be a current high school sophomore or junior, reside and attend school in Alameda, San Francisco, or Contra Costa counties. Other eligibility requirements are as follows:


- GPA of 2.5 or higher on 4.0 scale


- Completed year of high school Biology and Algebra 1 by June 2016 (with Chemistry and Geometry recommended)


- be a US citizen or permanent US resident (with green card)


- be 16 years of age or older by June 1, 2016


- be from a family whose total household income is $75,000 or less


The program will require a training on Tuesday, June 14, and runs from June 20 - August 4.
